Hey CC, I've seen a few guys upload videos to "vimeo" instead of youtube. It appears that the screen size is large than youtube and the clarity is too. What do you think about that site? (granted, you won't get too many "random" views on vimeo cause it only has a fraction of youtube's fan base) http://www.vimeo.com/

    DH,

I've never seen that link before but it looks interesting. Hard to compete with Youtube's fan base but Vimeo seems to have a cleaner interface and some plugs like a facebook app. I'll smell around there for a while.

Anyone else had any experience with Vimeo?

No, but there really is tons of sites, but youtube is the biggest name, it is hard to compete with google...

There are most definitely better options out there, I think youtube is the one most commonly integrated into posting features on forums.

I just tested it and it's miles better than youtube on playback, but it's difficult to see how anyone can challenge youtube at the moment ... everyone seems content with lo-fi music and video.

Sad really, but then again, I still have lots of vinyl records

On any video in you tube you'll see an option just below the view counter which says "View in High Quality".

If you haven't tried it already, check it out. I think you'll like the results! Only problem is I can't find a way to embed the HQ version.

Ok, tried changing my channel status to 'Director' and saw that the option came, at least on the older videos. The two latest ones, which I recorded in wide format still look awful though and don't show the 'watch in high qual.' tag... ;~((

Maybe youtube doesn't like wide format video.

Thanks for the tip otherwise, excellent quality!
