That is an excellent question. I think it should be okay as long as its DOT EPA approved.

    Yardie,

See the deserts. See the mountains. See them slowly. Go alone.

  4. #14 I know what u mean......but
No doubt I am an adventure rider, that said. I found it not too bad riding in Indonesia (althought I must admit I spent most.........I mean really over half my time driving in circles lost) but they use letters rather than symbols. Now Thailand that was a different story, as unless I had been somewhere before (and my memory is crap) when it came to the thai symbols I had NO idea where to go. I wouldn't ride thailand without tagging along with someone familiar with the language. I can appreciate it all cuz I just take off and go anywhere in mexico most the time by myself however its lots of fun to bring new guys, not to say that I"m not blundering borderline lost most the time I'm just blundering with confidence! I will take some side trips from shanghai I'm sure but really look forward to seeing the border areas to the north, west and the more temperate south.

None in English that I remember but they did have pinyin. If you're going to be traveling in China, it doesn't hurt to start recognizing characters. Start from the radicals.

  10. #20 That kinda what I thought
aAnd the last thing I want to be is a poor guest or ugly american. Frankly I'm still trying to master spanish (required as I live in California). The Chinese must find travelers like myself terrible due to the fact that many of them speak english which is ironic considering they will likely never go to an english speaking country. I find it unlikely I will be able to understand much of the symbols, however I imagine twards the end of my stay I would like to. Hopefully I can make up for my ignorance of thier languages and customs with an eagerness to be nice and enjoy learning about thier country by traveling on motorbike. Anyways my foot is healing and as soon as I can get my boot over it I am gunna take off down the baja coast.......anybody wanna go???
