chruk this link was taken from Dandamans mods list.

valve adjust - https://docs.google.com/file/d/0ByFv.../edit?hl=en_US = compression stroke = both valves fully raised

not at all. the original hose was the first to blow at 30 (indicated) miles.
changed it for the gates and that blew at around 50 miles.
got another 'fuel line hose at 60, that didnt last down the street.

it seems to drive fairly well enough when its blown.
In fact i initially got the feeling i had a slight increase in top end. cant be sure though.

Now the entire secondary air intake is off, im going to cap it off as soon as i get the chance.
but hope this doesn't end up having been something else entirely.

sorry about no pix, i really should have. at the time i thought it was likely a simple issue

axa-how did your hose pop off? how fast were you going? did it burst or what else happened to it? nothing you report makes sense concerning the hose. they melt?
you must have something working or how else did you go night riding?. how about a photo of the mess. i would like to see how it melts. same as bobformnv, i never had trouble with my hose popping off or bursting or ripping. certainly no melting.never a problem.. so tell us exactly what you did to start this mess so it can get fixed.

for sale: used sais for dfrtb. works fine. make offer. will swap for springer front end.

FWIW in my case my hose did not melt, it burst. I was doing max speed 60mhp on the hwy at full throttle when it happened. And as I stated before, I will never get on the hwy again. It's 75mph limit on there and most cars do 80. Here I was straining to keep it at 60 to keep from getting run over LOL. Never again.

This is why Im seriously thinking about getting a Royal Enfield. 6K for a 500cc and I read it does 70 tops so I would still have a light bike. But I think it would be a world of difference over the -250cc in my DF.

ive not done it myself , not had to , but start with the smallest screws availabl so u can move to bigger n better as it slowly wallers out

use a brand new metal drill bit , smaller than the screws u bought

and im not sure but AXA might have a bad MAIN from the intake manifold (bit carb bolted to) to the air pump , or asothers have said have it bolted backwards

If I understand what ur talking about, I can't imagine that primary air intake tube was bolted on backward but I'll take some pics.
Maybe it's just me, but without that smog pump I kind of find the engine compartment bare
