Another trick is the orientation of the bulb filament from horizontal to vertical. A hot horizontal filament is more prone to stretching and breaking over bumps. How you are able to rotate the socket, will be the challenge.
Maybe attaching to the seat, could be another option?
I rotated mine and put an LED in it and have never looked back. But I have a sneaky suspicion you guys ride yours more than I do.

Just noticed up to 20,285 on the miles thus far. had a small issue friday.Carb jets clogged. She would just idle, could not throttle up at all.Took it apart and cleaned it, back to normal now. Have not put the new tail light assembly on yet. been real busy, plus we had rain all last week. Gonna try to put it on this week sometime. Those LED bulbs work pretty good. But the solder joints fail pretty quick on some of them. Hope that changes once I mount the new tail light with some cushion under it. I plan on cutting up a flip flop ,seem spongy enough.

I also bought a couple small LED strips to add light to the bike at night. But have yet to find the correct toggle switch I need for them.I am after something waterproof of course, but local stores( auto parts) do not carry much in the way of that. Hope to sort that out this week as well. 20,000 + miles, Wow,What I your oil change schedule an what do you usually use ?

Am also going to add a couple small fog lights to the front. found some decent ones on ebay..

should give me better view of the road at night as well. I do not ride much at night, the wife hates it when I do ..worries alot. Hope these will settle her down a little. I like night riding.
Wow, 20,000 + miles ! Whats your oil change schedule and what do you usually use ?

Running just fine but I only have 4,000 miles on my 2012. Mine is pretty much stock except for the 35 tooth on the rear.
It does seem to run stronger with the miles on her.

I run Rotella synthetic 10W40 in mine.

honestly, I check the oil, and when it looks like it needs to be changed, I change it. I use normal off the shelf stuff from auto zone or o'reiley for motorcycles. Nothing special.

Does anyone on here know where I can find a new rear wheel for my RTC? Are the rear wheels the same for all models. (Rta, Rtb, and RTC)

Broke sprocket bolts, have new bushings and sprocket bolts on the way. But the hub has some decent damage from the ring set being loose. Hub is somewhat deformed and worn away not sure if the snap ring will compress correctly can post up some pictures. Would just be really helpful to get a new wheel but seems next to impossible with these china bikes

Honestly, I cannot answer your question for a new wheel, but I would like to see pictures of what you are describing. For a record. I hope it works out for you.

I will post pictures after work, do you know if there is a similiar rear wheel that will work? Any bike made in America is pretty easy to find a wheel for.
