Trying to check valve adjustment, cover off, plug out, drained oil. Opened up left side plate & top viewing hole nut.

Do I turn clockwise or counter?

Line to the right of the 'T' I see is dead top for each?

Saw the U-Tube but not allot of help.

I remember a valve adjust instruction here but can't find.

    Anyone know what page/entry?

Pretty much the same as our bobber. I had to use an impact screw driver to remove the four screws that holds the plate covering the nut that you can use to turn the engine to get to the TDC mark. Another difference is you remove the three bolts to remove the valve cover instead of removing the two round valve covers.
Edit: Manual and sticker on frame both say .06mm intake and .08mm exhaust.
Sir, I believe you were looking for this...

I have been re-reading the thread and am getting familiar with where the posts are... LOL

I can remember over the last few years , while browsing various antique shops, a person would run across any number of motorcycle accessories and extraneous items that could be modified for use with motorcycles and what not..... I find that these items have all but disappeared now that I am actively looking for them. I had spotted a very old set of saddle bags last year in an antique store attic and they were there until at least last month..... when I went there with the express purpose of buying them this weekend.... they were gone. BUMMER....

    Perfect Alley,well laid out instructions.
My concern is, the gaping, not the same as our manual's recommendation.

Alright guys. Susposed to be in the 70's this weekend so Thursday I am going to break in my DF. Fire up my smoker with some Boston shoulder, Then Fire up my DF for the first time. Ride out in the country stay under 40 mph. for a half and hour, ride back home. Half an hour that way too. Let it set for two hours. After changing the oil, clean off the magnetic oil plug, and cleaning the oil screen. Checking the meat in the smoker. Ride out again. A half hour each way. Back home let it set for two hours. Keep an eye on the smoker. At that point it should have forty miles on it. Ride out again, Now it will have 60 miles on it. Change the oil and clean the screen. Keep it up until I have a hundred miles on it right. Sit back and relax to some good eating. Then I can go a little faster. 50 mph. fluctuating the speed. Then the next day ride it like I stole it! Sound like a plan. Or do I have it all wrong?

    Gun Rod,

I believe the procedure is the same , we just use our recommended specs per the DF manual.
