I was using a mechanic engineer to do some welds on my new tank for me and he was giving it the once over. Also suggested I work through replacing all the nuts and bolts as they are pretty soft.
he was thinking along the lines of crank case breather, definitely wasn't brainwashed with emission rules. As we are in NZ and he mainly works on performance vehicles. Random fact -his Dad worked with Carol Shelby and was chief mechanic on the Shelby Daytona coupe, i was drooling over a cobra in the workshop.

I just thought I should throw it out there, but you guys have got the miles on the DF and the bike knowledge so i will relax.

p.s spring has arrived here and amazing riding weather

I have replaced these pads. Goto a certified Yamaha shop. These pads are used on the Yamaha Blasters. Most shops have them in stock and Yamaha OEM pads are $33.99. They work great also. I can send you a set if you can't find them...

Thanks.here are the pads from the front, I think the back is the same..

Yesterday I was enjoying the post-Hurricane Isaac weather in Mississippi on my bobber and my clutch cable broke as I was pulling out of a parking lot. Does anybody have any experience finding a replacement for the cable? So much for enjoying the Labor Day holiday with the wind in my face!

My cable hasn't snapped yet (knock on wood). But it looks like this is the replacement I will try and use. Matter of fact, I may go ahead and take mine off to measure and get a backup. Do you have yours off yet? Here's the link...
