Many of these for only $850, min of three tho...
So it's not impossible to get one for $380 or $420 as a sample price, right...?
If they accept credit cards or PayPal then I should try it, right...?

08-14-2014, 02:07 AMDoes anyone know where to get pilot jets for the Deni/Denki PZ30 carbs? I can't get my bike to idle without the mixture screw backed out a good bit (maybe 5 turns or so) and according to most tuning manuals that indicates the need for a larger pilot jet. I don't want to shell out the $140+ for a carb from CCW, and their jets don't work on the Deni/Denki carb. Most of the rebuild kits I've seen don't have their pilot jets labeled, and can range from 38 and smaller.

You will most likely not be able to import one direct from China due to EPA/DOT regulations. I have a feeling that DOT certification is probably somewhat permanent due to a bike having all the legal parts and bits, but EPA needs to be renewed yearly if I am not mistaken. The initial certification is the 'bitch' and subsequent ones are merely updates, but if the company has not renewed certification for a couple years, you will not get one of these in the country. Samples cost more, too, from what info I have gleaned over the years trying to get different bikes (before the EPA started really cracking down) into the US.

Are you sure that your pilot jet is clean? Also make sure that you don't have an air leak at the manifold gasket or the carb o-ring. You do have a cap on the vacuum port if you have removed the air injection system? Spray WD40 or starter fluid while engine is running and see if RPMs increase to find leak.
Seems that I remember that the stock pilot jet was fine on the 2010 DF250RTB. I believe that it was a 40. It was the main jet that was undersized and had to be increased to a 105 or more.Vince
