I got it new, right out of the create. I changed the jet just to see of it would make a little difference. I took it back out and the sprocket started rubbing again. I took it back in a realized that the sprocket was backwards also but then i notice that it looks like there is supposed to be some kind of clip that hold the sprocket to the rim and i do not seem to have it. Barnone can you check and see if your has a clip?

There is a very big c-clip that holds the sprocket on which the mechanic that changed your sprocket must have left off. You should be able to see the groove that the c-clip fits in when the wheel is off. That clip is a bitch to remove and replace without large c-clip pliers. Harbor Freight has an inexpensive set that will make the job easier.

Very dangerous to ride the bike with out the c-clip because the chain or sprocket could jam causing a rear wheel lockup.

Maybe you can go to his shop and find it?

Weird about you DF coming with a 105 main jet. TIC (this is China) at it's best.

My DF came with a 88 main jet while AKAsam's had a 105.
Can any other DFers report on their stock main jet size?

Might be wise to check your stock size before ordering new jets.

Just a reminder that when you put the float bowl back on make sure the accelerator pump is set so that it still works.

    Barnone:

I saw you mentioned a chain breaker. Can't you get the rear tire and sprocket off the bike without seperating the chain?

What is the final decision on the rear sprocket? 33,35, or 38 tooth? I weigh about 240 lbs.

AKAsam answered the question. The chain breaker is for shorting the chain.

There is a master link in the chain so it is easy to remove for cleaning/oiling.

I tried a 33 but it was too tall and then I went for a 38 for here in the mountains but I think the 35 is probably a good choice.
