around here we have a few radar stations set up..they help you stay the speed on certain rods in certain neighborhoods. They are relatively accurate..I mean i drive the van down them and when it says i am doin 30 I am ..so Ride the bike down them and find I am only like 2 mph off.
but at higher speeds i would not know.. seems to me that when i am doing like 50..on the service roads..it feels like I am standing still compared to traffic.. but then again..most of the time trafiic is NOT doing the speed limit anyway.

haha funny, one thing I don't like about these bikes, it feels like I am running the engine too hard at 50mph just trying to get ahead of all the bad drivers around me

Yes, much bigger than the Rebel. It's about the same size as my Kawasaki W650.

    That's me at 5'11" and 215 lbs.

You might try decreasing your rear sprocket size. The DF bobber is geared way too low as it comes from the factory. Don't know about your bike since it is a different model. You need to find a thread about your bike as you are comparing apples and oranges here.
Also don't forget these CG250 engines are really only 229cc, old technology, and don't make a lot of power.

Barnone, seeing your last photo, have you considered lowering your key/igniition switch lower to the removed EPA equipment bracket? It fits!

I changed to a 33T (35T not available at the time & was in a rush), mistake, yes 80mph(indicated & no wind) but a bitch off from stopped. As Barnone suggested 35T is the key if you have flat terraine. Back in this tread, there is a graph for rear sprocket & tire size to establish true max mph.
