On my version 1.1 I got rid of the blocks and just used a piece of angle iron from the DF crate to share the load on the frame tubes.
Don't know if that is necessary but it's a belt and suspenders kinda thing.

Hello all you bobbers. I too just ordered my 250 bobber. Its the one with the mini ape hangers and the springer front end. I'm getting it from ScooterDepot so here's hoping. No front fender so I guess it'll be a fair weather bike ( I know, good luck with that, right?). I've been looking through this thread, it's pretty daunting but I see it as a mine of information, and I think it makes pretty good reading, kudos to all of you. Seems like there are just a few common fixes, alterations, upgrades. This actually won't be my first China Moto. I have a 250 Hensim cruiser. It's a Honda Rebel clone. Ive already started bobbing it, got a ways to go though. Have to cut the back off and I'm making a seat out of an old shovel. This way when my brother comes visiting I have an extra bike so we can blast around the back roads here south of St. Louis. He gets the shovel! I also have most of the pieces for a 72 hd aermacchi 350 sprint which will some day make a running motorcycle. I'm an expert now that I took the Penn-Foster mc course, ha-ha. No, I really am enjoying motorcycles again as a part of my life in retirement.

Final seat attachment is just some bolts with holes drilled in them for hairpin cotter keys to secure the springs.

I have 2 pair, 4 total rear turn signals also...
And the 'business' end (the light housing part) of a single pair of the fronts signals also...

Also i want to specifically know if these are dual fire ignitions, i suspect as much...
