I still would get a meter and the wiring diagram and trouble the problem and not start just swapping out things.

    I totally agree !
When the meter shows the pathetic amount of volts at the base of the bulb, I offered a way to increase power to existing bulb or how to power a larger output bulb.
The small wire gauge that most manufactures use is rampant through out the industry. Starting with stator to regulator/rectifier and beyond.

From the post it appeared that he had no light coming from the headlight or parking light. That would indicate a lack of power.

hey there everyone. Havent been around much, been dealing with life in general.
Can say that I am still riding, got in a replacement motor for the old one, and it did the trick. Not exact, but close enough. Seems the configuration is a bit smaller than the original. I had to fabricate some motor mount extensions for the front as they did don extend that far out off the motor. Anyway. She runs. Has a really hard vibration.Cruising around 40-45 is ok, but anything over that and the motor has this resonating sound about it, and the vibrations are horrendous.

May go after another motor, but they are not easy to locate.
Now on another note, I would like to replace my carburetor and wondered if this will do the trick.

Or is there something else I should go for.
Plus one question. Where does that vacuum line from the bottom of the carb go to on the motor?

Well aside form that, if anyone has some input, great. I also hope that every ones holidays are rockin.

On mine, that tube from the bottom of the carb just vents straight down between the frame and out the underside of the bike.

Yes. That PZ30 will work. Jetting may be off. That line at the bottom of the carb isn't a vacuum line. It's the float bowl drain line. Open the screw on the side of the float bowl, and fuel will drain onto the ground. There's a lot of info on tuning these engines with the pz30 carb on dirt bikes and enduros over on chinariders.com forum.

A lot of Chinariders members seem to get the Mikuni (probably a clone) for not much more than the PZ30 ($40 approx) and even though they are clones, the Mikuni jets work well. The 'Mikuni' has woken up quite a few Chinariders' members enduros.

Look at these examples--I believe you would want the 30mm VM26 'Mikuni' but ben2go would probably narrow it down for you, or someone with more knowledge (most of our members ) could confirm...

I just reread what I wrote--I meant to say someone with more knowledge than me, as it seems to be an insult to you...sorry ;)
