Yeah, I'm retired so I plenty of time to fool around with stuff.

How did you know the exhaust is really loud?

The March issue of Cycle World has a review of the CCW Heist. It has close to same layout as your bobber, bar. The review was mostly positive, especially the cost; $3195. The author said that more than one person wanted to know what year Triumph it was. Yours looks like a nice little scoot. I hope you have fun on it.

I have the Cycle World mag with the Heist article and you are right about it being pretty much the same bike. The Heist is a little more fancy but also cost about $1000 more.

I just put in a 8" baffle to tone it down a bit.

The seller still has not supplied a bill of sale and a filled out MCO so that I can get a tag. I have a dispute open with PayPal to get some action out of the seller.

I have a humanbeing type question.

What Honda model and year was cloned for the 167FMM engine?

I might have room to be able to add one extra tooth on the front sprocket.

Barnone, I would like to say thank you for your post. It was by luck that I found the forum and read your review. I purchased this bobber last week from the Scooterdepot without any real info and figured "What the hay" Its my first motorcycle and am looking forward to it and for the price not a bad way to start.
I've been around Bikes my whole life between my father who had an old Chief and a 500cc Triumph to my Brother and his Dyna and friends who have been riding longer than I've been alive with Rebel 250's and up.
I've ridden and have my license but was always the guy in the truck carrying the gear while my friends rode and never had a bike of my own outside of a FZR600 that i blew the engine on within a week of having it. Do to a silly promise to the wife I could get a bike till she got a house.
Now she has the house and I'm getting the first of, to her dismay, many bikes LoL.

i like the 250cc and speaking to some of the more experienced riders I know they thought it would be a good bike to get my feet back under me.
You have put my mind at ease with this purchase and look forward to showing it off.

Hey Gardo,
I am glad to see another Dong Fang bobber owner here. Lots of good people here to help us out.

So far so good with mine although I only have 100 miles on the clock. I'm going to put another eighty on tomorrow with a ride out to our ranch to check on the cows.
The sticker on the engine regarding break in said to keep it under 50KPH for 300 KMs so I will be there tomorrow.

Ordered some jets to rich it up a bit. Plug is bone white now.

Let me know when your's comes in and your impression. I think it's a solid bike and a fun ride.

What color did you order?

It was easy to put together with only the handlebars and battery to install (after filling it with the supplied acid and an overnight slow charge) and a drain and fill with oil. I did have to loosen the chain a little bit.

I adjusted the springer seat today to carry my 200 lbs a little higher. Also ordered a sheep skin seat cover from New Zealand to give it a little class. Need to get some saddle bags soon.

I stuck a 8" baffle up her bung today to quite her down and it seems to do the trick.

Thanks for the info on the engine''s source and the sprocket. That picture at Amazon looks right. I'll order a 14 tooth one tonight.
