Well after 3 hrs at my local DMV I got told that I need to get the bike registered at the home office at my state capital in Trenton. Gotta love local bureaucratic BS even though I had all the proper paperwork and information that they asked for. the saga continues

That's a bummer. Does not make sense to me to have to go to the state capital DMV office just to register the bike. Florida did not have the manufacturer's name in their database so I was worried about that but they got it added. State capital of Florida is an eight hour drive for me.

I'm heading to a bike night down town in Fort Myers,FL later this evening to check out the bikes and ladies.

They had to be jerking you around somehow, I know there is no way in hell I would drive to my states head DMV to get anything titled. I would call them up asap and find out why on earth they are going to make you travel a few hours away.

They have to be connected by computer to head office, they are just incompetent, get on to your local politicians. If they are worried about 'names' for registration, check the emissions plate, the 'engine type' number will give you all the EPA details which should satisfy the idiots. I don't know if the details on a copy of barnone's would assist by showing them it is legally registered elsewhere? Maybe they just don't know which boxes to tick?

i.e. on the TMEC 200 in another thread, I can see the plate and it shows engine type 9TMPC 196TPI

I remember someone on Chinariders a few years back from 'Jersey getting tags for one of the 200cc enduros. He did have a few hoops to jump through, but it happened. However, it was several years ago, and at one point, one could get some of the 200cc enduros registered in California depending on which DMV office they went to. That has since changed. But if the Dong Fang is DOT, I think that means it is 49 state legal to be registered. You might be the first one in the state to register the bike (if I remember, that might have been the same situation with the guy on Chinariders). Good luck, but I do think you just have a technicality hoop to jump through.

Yup even the spreadsheet with me, but they wouldn't hear it and at that point my politeness started to wane so I smiled said thank you and walked out.
I'll give them a call on Monday and see if i can hit the regional office 2 towns out and get it squared away. Need to check the weather and see if I can "work from Home" on monday

I installed three washers under my carburetor needle to improve the mid range and it did reduce the popping on deceleration but the spark plug reading indicated too rich so I just removed one of the washers and will try again.
