My new Ural is my first EFI bike. Loving it so far.
I wish.We paid off a lot of bills over this past year and tax return money helped pay off more. Now my child support is done and my oldest son is in Military Academy.I still have my other bikes.I'm lovin the FI myself.I dread the carb work coming up on two of my bikes. They need a good cleaning and check up.

Lots of dirt roads, 4x4 tracks and some single track. Granted a better set of DS knobbly tyres would have been a help, but the CB500X did very well considering. I luved the bike, and would buy one in a heartbeat if the CB500X were legally distributed in PRC (only the CBR500 & CB500F are legally imported here - TIC).
This year I rode my BMW G650GS from Ningbo PRC to Northern Thailand for two months of folly before returning to PRC last week. The GS was able to go places where the CB500X probably couldn't. There are a pair of CB500X that have been used on fairly serious off-road that have modified suspension front and rear, taken from a KTM model. Met the riders/owners in Nan and saw the bikes out back of the Vespa shop (they own). The guys have a FB page. There's a great resource on the CB500X with discussion about making the bike more off-road capable...

I noticed that many rental/hire CB500X's are being shod with VeeRubber knobbly tyres. VeeRubber are made by a Thai tyre company.
Great pics.I am a member on the CB500X forum.I joined there when I started getting serious about buying one.I don't think I'll be doing to much suspension mods.Maybe better springs and possibly emulators in the forks.I mostly ride pavement but I do travel some groomed gravel. Those modified bikes are cool but tall.

I have a 2012 DF RTB 250 (Heist) As well. However mine will not go above 40 mph at its fastest. When I bought it the owner told me that it had some sort of speed limiter/ speed restriction on it. I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me remove this or knows anything about this subject?

Have your read through this thread? The DF250RTB is not called the Heist. There is a different thread on this site for the Heist.

Do you have a Dong Fang DF250RTB or Cleveland Cycle Works Heist bobber?

There is no speed limiter/speed restriction on the DF250RTB engine however if your bike is a DF250RTB has your rear sprocket been been changed to a smaller one? The stock one is a 45 tooth one and most of the DF250RTB owners here go to a 35 or 32 tooth one. The stock gearing is way too low.

I have a Dong Fang 250 RTB-B with the apehanger handlebars. I am not sure what size sprocket is on it currently, I have not changed anything on it since I got it. Would the sprockets explain why it will not achieve any faster speed than 40 mph? dongfang.jpg

Count the teeth on the rear sprocket.
Yes, the stock gearing is way too low. With a 35 tooth you should be able to run 50 to 55 MPH.
You probably want a JTR279-35 sprocket.
