I would say he bent the fork tubes.

He did. They are affectionately referred to as fork stanchions. The problem I've had with straightening fork tubes is the chrome flaking off. Once that happens the seals get cut up, or there's a gap, and fork oil leaks like crazy.

Here is a place that says they have the fork tubes. Lot's of other DF parts. Too good to be true?????

Maybe they have the brake pads? Didn't see in their DF parts but worth a try.

    Also engines.

    WOW.
my lordy, as if things weren't confusing enough this is the ONLY time ive ever seen real evidence of a 166fmm engine... ive always thought, and still some do, websites mis printed 66mm for 67mm, and still wonder if this is sometype of typo...

Anyway I suppose 375$ for it isnt that bad, and only 80$ shipping to me.

and these 178xxx they list, or even a 187xxx, Id like to come across one of these cheap, they are 300cc ATV engines with reverse, i reckon i could rip the reverse out
Otherwise, seems parts are found cheaper on ebay.

Looks like ill need to take out the pad and match the shape and match them in the EBC catalog that is posted here somewhere. no part numbers, what a surprise

The 300cc engine is interesting if I ever need a replacement. Couldn't see if it was chain or shaft. Reverse wouldn't bother me especially since I might eventually need to put a sidecar on the DF.

Looks like the same engine and it has a sprocket. Called a GN300. It is only 250 cc. Bummer.

Another maybe crazy idea since it seems both tubes appear to be bent the same. Loogen the triple tree bolts and rotate the tubes so the bend is to the front. You would get more rake. Maybe too crazy.

I read where the tubes are 41mm. I can measure mine in the morning.
That twist them around for more rake is too coll, but I am concerned about the stress on them. But yeah too cool. I will try to get hold of a micrometer this weekend to verify size on them. But if you do measure yours, yeah let us know. Thanks. As for straightening, I was advised not to do that. They may never get perfect and I could be blowing out seals a lot in the future. Gonna look into just replacing the stanchions after I size them up. Will be dismantling hopefully this weekend.
