Lifan America launched a new website….Lifan now claims to be stocking the LF250 which is their version of the Yamaha V-Star 250 the LF250 has a MSRP of $3,100.00 and that’s a grand less then the original Yamaha its engine is based off. Lifan also offer a 400cc version V-Twin Cruiser that has an MSRP that is $4,100.00 or maybe not as that model has been “coming soon” since 2009! Nothing really new since both of the models had been on the previous website for a duration. The sites verbiage is riddled with an undertone, commentary that some may find annoying?

Nothing new, no V-twin sport bike, no GY-7 either, but then again those models may only be for trade shows? What is the strategy; a slow painful death apposed to rushing into failure? The site change is very much like lipstick on pig? They are using one very large banner image of a model that they do not even offer? They named the motorcycles for some reason, but nobody uses those made up names, does anyone call the GY-5 a “Sphinx” or a LF200 III a “Wrath”.

“Don't just be cool, look cool. This is not the same wimpy chinese chopper that we have all come to expect, with a historically cool body design, pre-tuned carburetor and exhaust to match you can't help to enjoy your daily commute or your afternoon weekend getaway. The Royal 250 V-Twin is our newest top quality chopper submission to the market. MSRP is a healthy $3099 and is a great complimentary product to any bike lineup. We currently have full inventory and are filling orders on a first come first served basis. This bike is manufactured by Lifan so the quality you have come to expect will be delivered in spades to our exclusive dealer members. If you sell CFMOTO, Johnny Pag or Bobbber 51/50's then this is the bike that hits the price vs. style sweet spot. Going, Going, Gone.…”

Its kind of funny…..want to buy a failed business?

Lifan offers 50/51 Bobbers as a complementary product to sell with its line... but the HardKnock Bobber site is up for sale! The Kikker 50/51's are also kit bikes….sold direct online.

    Seems more conflicting then complimentary.
