02-04-2011, 03:38 PMHello all,
Cannot work out how to take the slack out on the cables. Before I rip it all apart, thought I would ask for the easy way?
The manual states its like what you have on a mountain bike cable adjustment, but its not like the manual on the pulse adrenaline?
Regards
Mark

02-05-2011, 09:55 AMi had my 300km service yesterday and they never did anything to it. Im going to check all the other things they should have done too, cause all I think they did was change the oil. Then im gonna go down there and get shi**y with em. I hate garages and only giving it to them to keep the warranty. But I begrudge paying for a sh*t service!

Have some care with what you say for legal reasons but if you have had poor service then tell us more, including dealers name. Or at least make it clear if you will pass on your private experience and opinion to other riders in your area by PM if they request it.
For too long chinabikes have had a poor rep. This will not change while we put up with such dealers and service workshops, and what is more, it can be dangerous.
We need to educate members as we go - on what is a necessary safety standard to work to, ie on receipt of the machine, however it comes, check fixings and mountings, use loctite, replace suspicious fittings with good quality bolts and so on when setting up; then we need to learn and pass on what is necessary rider maintenance such as checking things at regular intervals.
But we also need to ensure that dodgy dealers and dodgy practises are highlighted and publicised. that way good machines, good dealers and good service providers gain a reputation and a deserved place in the market.Kinlon R/T KBR JL200GY-2

02-05-2011, 03:49 PMFound the throttle adjuster at last, lol. The shop didnt, the locking nut was loose and about 7-10mm of free play on the throttle handle. All nice now!!!

I have also attached pics, not that they really show anything, but theres no witness marks on the valve inspection covers, covers to allow access to set TDC, filter plate nuts. Now I stil really cannot 100% proove they didnt touch it, but im pretty convinced they didnt. Will have to bring some feeler gauges home from work and check the valves myself.

02-05-2011, 05:45 PMok, I think I will let them off. Checking the manual that came in the bike pouch it doesnt mention doing anything till 1000km. But the service manual mentions 300km and 1000km etc... But maybe the 300km is just an oil change as they say it come with running in oil.

02-08-2011, 06:03 PMSteve,
You should have about 1mm of play, DONT make it tight and no free movement.
I found though that there isnt enough thread to acheive 1mm. I recon I have about 2mm and running out of thread on the adjuster. But its sooooooo much better than before.
