02-17-2011, 01:14 AMhave a leaking monoshock. i have spoke to q-link about getting a replacement. i do all my own bike work but have never had to replace monoshock. they stated it was oil shock, not air or nitrogen. i see it has what looks like airtap. i have the xp 200 tech manual. has anyone replaced one and how hard is it. suspension is not my expertise and in the manual it states avoid removing shock as much as possible because it takes special tools and technique, looks pretty easy to me in tech manual since this is an oil only shock. anyone ever changed one,? thanks

I've replaced duel shocks but not the single one. The Qlink is easy, however. As you can see from the manual, raise the rear of the bike, remove the bottom bolt, and then remove the top one. You may have to remove one of the side panels to get to the top bolt but that's pretty much it.
