Hi, I'm Kristjan, I live in Estonia and I'm currently building a bike with Yamaha DT125R chassis and Qingqi QM200GY engine. It will be used on both motocross and enduro tracks in future...
Everything started when a friend went for a ride with my Yamaha and seized the engine. He had the QM200 in his KX125 frame before, because the original Qingqi chassis wasnt very good, the rear wheel broke apart and ruined everything.

Iv'e previously had some Riga mopeds, three 350cc IZH Planetas, Motorhispania Furia with full MK Pro Race 70 engine, 2 Yamaha TZR125R italian models, a Honda MTX80 which was always broken, Aprilia AF1 125 Futura, Gilera MX-1 125 (I regret selling it, could have been a nice project bike), Suzuki AY-50 Katana scooter, three Kawasaki AR125-s (I love those, really cool bikes if u ask me), Yamaha YZ80, some kind of Qingqi 50cc moped...

Besides the Yamaha DT I also have a Honda Dio scooter.

I found this forum when I was searching Google, trying to find out if anyone has made his QM200GY go faster and what was done to make it happen. :D So, any advice is welcome! :) I'm more familiar to two strokes than fours.

    Dear Kristjan,

Welcome to the board, and please feel free to ask specific questions about your retrofit. I don't recall anyone trying such a project, but you may find answers by searching the site. There's a ton of info about the 200GY, and a lot of expertise among our members.

Good luck with it, and, yes, do post some pictures of your work in progress -- and of your rides there in Estonia.

    Estonia!! How cool is that!

    cheers

Here's the modifed frame, almost finished.

And this is prettty much what it is going to look like:

Unfortunately the QM200 engine does not have kickstart, which I'd like much more than the electric one. But at first I need to make it run, then complain.

Once again, this is not China-related, but since we are on the subject of Estonia, and motorcycles, cast your gaze at this -- from Renard Motorcycle of Tallinn!!

    cheers!

euphonius, don't you think you're watching too much moto' porn for one day? Have you considered counseling ?

Welcomed Kristjan, you've found the right forum .. welcome aboard.

To be honest I was not expecting you to talk about that one. Renard is a nice piece of art but not exactly what I would like to ride. If I would make a motorcycle, I'd probably come up with something more usual and practical.

I also put some pictures of my project in my last reply above, have a look. :)

    Dear Extinction,

Thanks for the glimpses of your project. Nice work, and a nice shop as well. The Renard is indeed a piece of art, but yours is an impressive piece of practical craftsmanship and pride. Touché!

As for the QM200GY engine and power train, there's definitely expertise in this forum. Any specific power-boosting mods that you are considering?

    cheers
