I would love to get a fuel gauge for my bike, got caught out at a busy junction, and had to find somewhere to switch to reserve, quite hairy, but a gauge would really help, any sugestions?

Why can you not switch to reserve while you're riding? It's usually a petcock just under the fuel tank, is it different on yours? Learn to feel where it is, then when you're riding just reach down and switch over when the engine starts sputtering.

What Felix said. Basic stuff you should learn. And if you don't know how to do it as casually as you scratch your nose, then you should just practise it by switching the petcock back and forth as you ride.

    37monkey,
My Qlink XF200 came without a trip odometer so I rigged up a combination lock for my trip meter.

Kinda cheesy but it works and I can use it for a disk lock too.

Hey, Barnone, brilliant solution! But does the trip meter fall off if by chance your trip mileage matches the unlock code on the lock?

    eup,
Yeah but I've got a ways to go before that happens.
Six thousand KMs and I need to start worrying.
I guess I could change the combination to all zeros.

    Hi 37monkey
I already made that mod, but it will require a little bit of work. You will have to drill a hole in the tank.
