The TL is a beast, a bit different than the SV, which a lot of owners like to call a girl's bike... But I love it. I am not particularly partial to Suzuki, but it the SV has done well for me so far.
tidefan, I think the reason why the suspension is lacking on the QLink is because it is a cheap bike. Suspension is one of the quickest ways to add cost to a bike, and most casual riders won't notice much of a difference. The rear shock on my SV650 cost $1300 (Penske, I didn't pay for it though...) and I only paid $1200 for the entire XF200!! I've also put some work into the front suspension on my SV with some different cartridge emulators as it comes stock with damper rod forks. It is easy to sink lots of money into the suspension.

03-30-2011, 02:54 AMNice to see you picked the good looking one. Lol just kidding guys. I have been reading the same information for quite some time and last saturday i bought the same bike. I also ordered new jets , k&n air filter and the pro circuit full exhaust our friend was so helpful to provide us information on. Which included pictures. Although i havent heard feedback regarding the exhaust i figured it would at least breathe a little easier without all the baffles and weight the stck exhaust so excitingly provides. Let me know if you guys/gals hear about the 125 pro corcuit exhaust conversion please.

I got a 3-pack from eBay. The part number is HiFlo HF131. There are other brands that make the same size.

A bit of an update, I've done a little work to the XF. I put on ProTaper handle bars with risers and stripped the stickers off the bike. I also put a 16T front sprocket. I attempted to adjust the valves at 1000 km, but screwed it up somehow and need to redo it, I assume I was on the wrong stroke when checking. I just haven't had time to redo it, and the weather has been pretty lousy for a while anyway.

Just in case you are not aware, ChinaV has an excellent tutorial on Qlink XF/XP 200 valve adjustment at

Yeah, I read that tutorial after the fact. That's why I'm pretty sure I just got the wrong cycle when trying to find TDC. The clearances seemed really tight, like I couldn't get any feelers in there, so I adjusted them out. Then I started it and CLACK CLACK CLACK CLACK. Whoops. I'll try again soon, just haven't had the time or motivation.
