Found the intake of my CCM230 had a "restrictor" pushed into the airbox intake that cut down the available intake area to about 25% of the original size .inlet.jpg

I put a 120 main jet in , from Scooter Assassins , and the bike now goes much better - pulls better throughout the rev range , cannot say its any faster as it is still running in and revs out in top gear despite the +1T front sprocket .

If you have this in your air intake to the filter box take it out but make sure you upjet to suit - mine was a guess at 120 but seems about right - have also removed the EGR/air injection gubbins too .
