Thanks for your thoughts.
I've been considering the handguards in that 'hand job' thread. If they aren't compatible with the YBR then I'm sure I'll find some that are.
A 650 twin dualsport? I will keep my eyes open!
When I first bought the YBR brand new last year I tested starting the bike with the kickstand down and it started. The user manual states that it is included on all YBR250s but it must have been forgotten about when they were building mine.
Regardless, I'll give it a go today; trying it with the stand up and the stand down. Who knows!

Here's one of my thoughts concerning the handlebars on your YBRahim. I would not buy some reinforced or heavy-duty ones, because I have logic, that it is better, when you fall, he receives all the energy and bend, than to transfer energy of impact to the triple clamps, indirectly on the fork tubes. Such a damage is much more expensive to repair than a simple replacement of handlebars.
BTW, one more vote for handguards.Ask me nothing - I DO NOT speak english. Really...
