Congrats you two - awesome, awesome journey!! WoW. Glad you made it safely and hope to meet you guys one day in the future. I totally understand the "withdrawal" from the adventure....it's great to be working again too though but I space out on the open road, the beautiful scenery and all the other good stuff. Luckily, China doesn't hurt the pocket too badly. :D

    Awesome ride you two! Congrats!
And thanks for providing us with superb content over these 100 days.

By the way, some major journeys happening lately (Ryan, Roadrunner/Lulu, Pat, Meow to name a few).
How many kms did you guys clock on your trip?

It could have been Guiness material. If you wanted to clock "every detail related to the time spent on the motorcycle (rest breaks, stoppages and reasons for the stop, daily/overall performance), must be recorded in a log book and signed by as many independent witnesses as possible (including police officers where possible) in an attempt to create a line of witnesses to verify the route and the distance traveled." I'm exhausted just reading that! And I try to exclude police officers from my rides!!!

We got 18,132 kilometres done before we crossed the finish line back in Chongqing.

We also usually avoided the interfering arm of the law like the plague, or at least an annoying inconvenience, but at times they helped us out with directions and once a policeman got a truck to move slightly forward so we could get out of a very messy traffic jam and onto the other side of the road. Something he didn't need to do, but we would have been there for at least another half an hour if he hadn't done it .

Those proof requirements would make the ride more of a day job with a view than an enjoyable ride. I guess it suits some people though.

    Dear Lulu:

There are two English expressions that came to mind when I watched your videos: "Trial By Fire" and "Jumping into the deep end". Both mean that you are learning in very difficult circumstances.

I am absolutely amazed at how courageous you are. You have achieved a MAJOR accomplishment - riding >18,000 kms, as a brand new rider, IN CHINA WITH CHINESE ROADS AND CHINESE DRIVERS.

I tip my helmet to you - well done, Ms. Lulu!

By the way, I have been married to a Chinese girl for almost 20 years, and I already know that Chinese girls are NOT the weak little things many people think they are. Chinese girls are strong, resourceful and proud! And you are more proof of it!

Good job, and thanks for sharing these great videos!
