04-15-2011, 11:32 PMHey all, Been making adjustments with mine per Alan, She should be running good now, sounds good and rides good, about 300 km right now. Alan said they are actually adjusting the valves at pit before the go to the dealers. Will still have to recheck them after x amount but shes holding together great. Going to a ride in for some breakfast tomorrow and then a small ride. Cant wait to hear if the exhaust is doable or not. Tom at the Weaver group is looking at my design. Will see. Will grab some more pics tomorrow in the light. Safe riding all.

So, you took my suggestion and started your own local CCW dealership in Vegas?
OK, you probably had the idea before or when you ordered your Heist. I really think you should rent out the bikes to tourists. I think you would have a niche market
Can't wait to read your reports--and take video; I always like Vegas

CHAINGUARD:
My State requires one to pass inspection.
LOL at that janky bicycle chainguard. I can't imagine it will actually do anything should the chain break.
HOW TO:
~ Drill a big hole in the guard to bolt thru the turn signal mount. Note: You gotta pull the signal wiring out of the can and run it through the hole you just drilled.
~ Bend a little bracket off the bottom fender strut mount.
~ Cut the guard length to the match the frame angle in front of the turn signal mount.
~ Pass inspection. Somehow.
It's thin as shit, sits up to high, doesn't match the diameter but passes.
I gotta say my local dealer, Brett @ PIT, and even Scotty were awesome helping me out that day. Emails were flying. It's really good to know the service is there when you need it. :)
*** Also notice in the top photo, my tire wasn't totally seated on the rim... I inflated up to 50+ psi, squirted some soapy water in there and left it overnight. Popped right over. :)

Kevin,
Like that tail light, thanks for the excellent photos. Good tip on getting the tire to seat. I had the same problem on my Qlink XF200 SM.
What does PIT say for the PSI front and back?

Pit says the intake should be set at .002 and the exhaust at .004
CCW says Intake valve/ Exhaust valve gap: 0.05mm/0.06 mm
from http://www.valleyscootersdealers.com/heistccw.html
and here
http://www.clevelandcyclewerks.com/heist-details/
Too tight clearance can cause burnt valves.
