yeah, we did think about it. But maybe going to a different location closer to BJ and start preparation earlier.
There should be also a different approach to involve the chinese biker community. Even with publishing it no mainlander had joined.

Good idea - one suggestion would be ...

Don't make it a "biker" event ... rather, try to make it more widely inclusive for "motorcyclists", so that people on 125s/dirt bikes/sport bikes/scooters/Chinese/Japanese, etc. don't feel looked down on. Save the "mine is bigger than yours" events for something else. TIC, not Sturgis/Daytona.

    Yeah, well, my two fen.

Agree. We can address it more to the motorized two/three wheeler community. Anyway last year we had motorcycles, side cars and also a scooter. Some people came by car with families.
That wasn't a problem. Everybody is invited.

I have some ideas for this years T-shirt already. ... And we will have it early and up to 4XL this time.
I still have the address list from the participants of last June. So we have a core list to spread information from there.

And because new ideas are welcome .... lets hear your proposals for a location

    G'Day,

Any time frame yet? May or June would be great in my opinion.

    G'Day,

Schedule of holidays for 2012 released
    Shanghai Daily / NEWSPAPER EDITIONDec 7, 2011

People need to work only 17 days next month thanks to the New Year's Day holiday and the Spring Festival holiday. Moreover, the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday will overlap next year to form an eight-day holiday.

The State Council yesterday released this calendar for public holidays in 2012:New Year's Day holiday break will run from January 1-3, but people need to work on December 31 (Saturday).

Spring Festival holiday will run from January 22-28, but January 21 (Saturday) and January 29 (Sunday) will be made working days to compensate for the long holiday.

Qingming Festival will be April 2-4 with March 31 (Saturday) and April 1 (Sunday) as working days.

The Labor Day holiday will run from April 29 to May 1 with April 28 (Saturday) as the working day.

Dragon Boat Festival break will be from June 22-24.

Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday will overlap next year from September 30 to October 7 - eight days in total. But people will be required to work on September 29 (Saturday) to make up for it.

    Sounds like a perfect time!
The question is whether we start a real planning or just name a location and some hotels/ camp ground nearby and everybody is doing individually.

    G'Day,

Personally, always prefer to do my own arrangements to be more flexible. Looking forward to some ideas about locations.

    Seasons Greetings!
