05-01-2011, 03:32 AMGlad to have you back and in good form.
If you want a sustained adventure in China, rather than just a quick ride, you really should consider rebasing yourself here for a while. A year is good. Teaching English, editing agitprop for China Daily or Xinhua, or teaching whatever it was that you've been doing over the years. A (paltry) income and all basic needs met (lodging, food, insurance, etc) and probably even your air fare to get here and back. Four seasons of riding. I'm guessing you'd do a year, and if you didn't break all the dishes and piss off the headmasters, you'd be persuaded to sign on for another 12 months.....jkp

Hi Jeff, thanks for the good wishes. Not really well yet but improving slowly so here I am to upset the fools and horses. Keeping a lower profile perhaps for a while.
The first half disappeared when I moved it to 'off topic', seems you cannot select more than a page at a time to do that. Oh well, at least it was my own thread I stuffed up.
You are right about the stay, a year is about what I have in mind with perhaps a quick trip back here to check on things halfway through. I am not sure though that anyone would want me to teach the things I have been doing half of my life! Getting in and out of trouble mainly. But I could maybe do the English teacher thing. We shall see, a few months yet before I can plan it seriously, I spent the trip money on the car. Just got to get some energy back. i have walked away from the doctors, all they do is tell me I am ill, they can only find symptoms and not causes, they can also give drugs, some of which are very addictive and have nasty effects. So I told them to get stuffed and now I am just taking a few herbs and keeping my fingers crossed. Thats as good as anyone can do I think!Kinlon R/T KBR JL200GY-2

05-01-2011, 04:28 AMHell that's a growth industry here! Just ask the Minister of Railways. You could teach at the Party School in Beijing ("school for scandal") and probably be extremely well rewarded!
PM'd you about health care....jkp
