    I've been toying with the thought of converting my Lifan to an electric bike, I guess for novelty purpose, but in my searches I just came across this bike, it is a converted Lifan 200 III, called eMoto.

    Wow! Six batteries! It must weigh a ton!

    Not sure how the suspension on a Lifan would handle that.

    Yeah I'm not sure really, from reading the site he seems pretty happy with it, he has a video too... I guess the thing with batteries is, if you don't want to spend a fortune you have to have lot's of big ole heavy batteries...

    That depends though, if one replaces the cheap lead acid batteries with much more lightweight lithium which also provide longer range then that'd be the way to go. Of-course lithium does cost a premium, but they have a longer lifespan and have an extended range.
