    Hi Bob,

the picture you show is the XY250GY-2 also known as X2 - I have one since last year, bu zuo

    The Xy250GY-4 is another bike:

I'm not sure if the X2 can be leaglly registered at this time, as it has carburator, since earlier this year bikes over certain cc need Fuel Injection to pass the now valid emission laws. Better check this detail before buying!

+1 What André said, I don't think Shineray has anything in the 250 range that can be registered. Please let us know what you find out from them.

Anyone know what tires those are in the above picture? They're 17" knobbies and those are pretty rare.

    Cheers!

    Greetings From "Wonderful (Bikes-Banned) Wuhan

Coooooo Reccct... I'm looking for a proper Shinray dealer who can order a XY250GY-2.

I am of course very, very, very concerned about the registration issue. If it cannot be registered then... I won't buy it.

Previously had a Jialing JH600 but had several issues with it:

1: Was very touchy about battery state of charge & not starting.

2: Very poorly worked-out fuel injection and/or engine response at partial throttle around town.

I now live in Vanke Villa East of Optical Valley Wuhan & have no access to a place for "wrenching" and/or modification of semi reliable cycles.

After reading "Sober ...." experience with the Yamaha YBR 250 here on China Moto
