As I was looking for some information how to deal with my license transfer I found a lot of blogs and forums with not complete or out of date information. The good source to read about it is Beijing Traffic Management Bureau website http://www.bjjtgl.gov.cn/publish/portal1/ there is an english version.
As I read you should go to the main office to get the application form I got lazy and I thought I will send them an email asking for the form. I was really suprised to find the form next morning in my mailbox.
Now it's the payback time, I got an email from them and I promised to pass it to you. If you have some sugestions feel free..

and comprehensive information and service for foreigners in China, we are eager to know your suggestion or advice. Would you please be kindly enough to
sent us your suggestion or advice on the most concerned information or service about Beijin traffic which you wanted most in our new website.
Thank you in advance for any of your suggestion or service.

I asked them about more info about the registration, plates and insurance and that C3 thing.
I don't know if it's the right place for this thread.

Good contact with the police is very important;)

I'd also ask about the procedure and documents/requirements for importing a motorcycle legally into China, as this question seems to reoccur with regular frequency.

I'm sure this thread will explode with suggestions within the next day or so.

Don't have anything too specific, but perhaps have an English speaker in the Foreign Affairs section of the traffic management bureau down on the south 4th ring. Things would be much easier if I didn't have to play charades in order to get my question across.

Hi Filipu, is your mind working the way your avatar let me think of?
Wave a red flag, bring them to this website and everybody will "love" you.
I am happy to leave Beijing soon; out of the range of friendly bikers like you.

    Hey Filipu

Just ignore it ... it will soon go away. It isn't you that is the problem.

By the way, did you hear about the 100 day campaign to shush away the illegals from Beijing? One article here.

    Looking forward to a ride.

    Cheers

OK, I understand. So I'm the most unpopular rider in Beijing now.
I've heard about campaign. I'm 98% legal so should be ok. Is it because of that rapist?
