Hi all this is my first post.

I got the haynes manual for chinese 125 motorcycles. There is a pic of a pulse adrenaline on the front so it goes without saying it covers my bike.... Anyone else have this manual? Think its good? I think its hard to relate it to your particular model of bike.... But hey! to the point shall we... I rebuilt the front end of my bike amongst other things after a crash... My tappets sounded rattly so i broke out the manual and checked the given settings they say for my engine 0.08mm inlet 0.15mm exhaust. I set it to this and i now have a louder rattle and poorer performance. I also got told by one dealer its 1mm in and out LMAO. And i gotold by another something like 3 thou in 4 thou out!!!!!! Getting annoyed with it all now....Anyone know the proper settings. I think the munual full of shit. Cheers.

Reset my valve clearances this mornin before work just incase i got it wrong. Turns out the haynes is wrong!!???. 0.8mm in 0.15 out is wrong. It rattles a bit and performance is cack... So i searched for a delaer online whilst at work. Spoke to someone who pulled a spreadsheet supplied by the manufacturer. 4 thou in and 4 thou ex is what i was told. Im adjusting them to that in the morning. I will repost tomorrow with an update. Cheers

Will be interesting to see what difference that makes - 0.004" being just about 0.10mm so you will be opening up the inlet clearance slightly and reducing the exhaust by 0.002" (0.05mm).

You are setting the clearances to 0.08mm in and 0.15mm at the moment ? I would not expect the 0.05mm on the exhaust clearance to make any significant difference to the performance , might rattle a little but not much else - might be wrong tomorrow will tell maybe ?!

Good luck - still think the 200 specs . would be fine ..........

"Through CrazyCarl, we have learned that the correct specification is .06mm to .08mm for both the exhaust and intake ports." This is for the 200 which should be the same as the 125.

The above was taken from ChinaV's excellent tutorial on adjusting the 200cc version.

Hi to anyone interested the valves have been set at 0.07mm for a while and I have done a very recent 250 mile round trip to silverstone motogp. No problems! No knocks no rattles. Performance is fine. Cheers all
