A riding mate recently got a Lifan GY150. Whenever we go on a trip he is losing screws although we tightened them all up. Since we want to avoid over tightening or breaking threads, we are looking for a tightening torque table - if such a thing exists at all

    Thanks

This is a quick and very basic guide. The correct torque varies with the quality of steel used on the bolts, etc.
It's recomended that we use blue Loctite on troublesome screws. There's a write-up about Loctite here:http://www.bikernet.com/garage/loctitetech.asp

Here's a .doc WORD document that is a bit more comprehensive: It has your US funny size bolts and our metric ones as well as torque ratings for different qualities of steel used in hardware.

    Hi,
Been riding on CJs and Beemers all my (riding) life. Just got a dirt bike to ride with my son's monkey bike. It's brand new but falling apart. The fasteners seem to be made of aluminum? The 2 holding the sprocket to the transmission let go and broke. Then digging deeper it looks as though every bolt is soft? I'm changing them as fast as I find them. Anyone else have this problem on a Lifan?
    Regds,
    Jim
