I just bought my first bike (XP 200) and I need a luggage solution for commuting. Most luggage solutions seem to be designed for street bikes and cruisers. If anyone has some pics of their dual sport bike's luggage setup, or just some product advice, that would be very cool. Thanks.

    Dear TedfOrd,

Hopefully you can find that rack from the QLink folks or whoever imported your Qingqi. If not, there are Taobao agents that will help you order and ship purchases from Taobao. Check out barnone's center stand thread, which recounts his experience.

Then there's this venerable thread on Qingqi luggage racks.

Finally, there is yamasoccer's recent thread on outfitting his & hers konkers (qingqis) for a long gravel trek through Alberta.

    Lots of options and info!

Please post pix of whatever you come up with. Have you shared any bike pix yet?

    cheers

Thank you for your replies. I just found a Motocentric Tail bag at Motorcycle Superstore. The first review is a guy who used it on a Suzuki DR200SE. I figure it will likely work on an XP200 given the similarities.

    Here is the link:

It has built in bungee hooks which I like. I don't really want to drill into my bike yet. Do you think it might be an easy install?

Also I found these saddlebags. The last review on the first page is a guy who used them on a dual sport bike.

    Thoughts???

If you don't have it installed, download google's Chrome browser, which is free of charge. When you browse to a page in Chinese, Chrome will automatically offer to translate the entire page into English. It's far from perfect, but it's instant, and you can get the info you need. You might also be entertained by some of the turns of phrase...

Never thought you'd be reading Chinese before, eh?

Once you've determined whether you'd like to try to buy the item, browse to Taobao Focus, one of many services that will help buy the product and ship it to you, for a modest fee. Taobao Focus is in English, of course!

    cheers!

I'm attempting to order the rack here http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=3338882754 using Taobao Focus....we'll see how it goes. The first payment was $20.80 USD. I can't wait to find out what they charge me for international shipping. Hopefully I don't have to wait a month like barnone did :P
