I got my girlfriend a 2007 GY200 after alot of pestering but once I recieved it I realized it is a bit to tall for her. I have read in the other threads about adjusting the shock ( which I am going to get to ) and the forks and seat mods but I also know they make lowering links for some of the name brand bikes. does anyone know if they sell a lowering link for this bike or has anyone fabbed one up? I could really use a 2 inch or so drop at the least. I can stand on it flat footed but she can't and Id like it to be as safe as possible for her. thanks alot guys looking forward to being part of the forum

welcome to the forum a good easy way to lower it is just drop the clamps/triple trees down abit further on the forks as much as you can and adjust teh preload on the rear shock so its really sort therefore under your girlfriends weight will lower it, if your planning for a good firm ride i wouldnt do this but depends if the parts are out there for ya

thanks for the reply...I can adjust the forks but the rear shock is down as far as it will go..she is a new rider and isnt going to be taking it off the pavement so performance and a stiff ride arnt really an issue I just want her to be able to stop and put her feet down comfortably. Im in the process of having a lowering link made up for it and if that dosent work I'm going to try to shave the seat..whatever I got to do to make it a safe ride..anyone have a link to the thread about shaving the seat down?
