Zongshen purchased Kasinski Brazil and integrated some of the Zongshen models as underlings to Hyosung models also offered under the Kasinski brand. They are also manufacturing models now in Thailand as Zongshen Hongsi and selling those under the RYUKA brand name.

The 150cc dual sport is very popular.

Goes by the model names Ryuka FLY150 and Kasinski CRZ-SM

It sells for $4,542.00 in Brazil.

So supermoto is a new el cheapo replacement for naked el cheapo basic bike? If so, just wow. Can't complain. Better suspension, driving position, and tyres are fine for meh!

The bike are for the most part Derbi designs, I would say as a result of Piaggio business dealings with Zongshen.

Zongshen owns Kasinski and a manufacturing facility in Brazil that just opened last year.

Same frames…not the same engines though because Derbi’s have (Yamaha) 4 valve engines.

I'd like to see Zongshen have a version of the Derbi Mulhacen but not with the Zongshen 13.5hp 150. I should not say that because I am hearing good things about the Zongshen 150.

Comparing the Kasinski/Zongshen to the Mulhachen, the Comet 150 is just boring.

I guess it is not all about HONG KONG….There is the other colony too.

    http://www.macauhub.com.mo/en/2009/07/31/7509/

So there you have it Hyosung and Zongshen…..

Then you have other connections like Piaggio and through that Derbi and through that Minerelli and Yamaha. That is all a matter of technology sharing.

So you have Kaskinski with 150cc 250cc and 650cc models and some nice scooters. Oh yeah and ridiculously high margins at sale. With the retention of the Kasinski brand name I suspect that some designs will come in the future that are different then what we see today. That or the brand will be completely dropped? But since there are two companies involved it is difficult to say how that will unfold?

The margins are very high on the bikes and also they are big sellers in Brazil the brand evidently is recognized. Brazil has high tariffs on imports 14-20% so domestically made competes with inflated imports and why prices are so high.

You have to realize that the largest share in sales is to Honda with 80% and in that is the 150cc Titan which is a good bike but said to not be as civilized as the water cooled 150cc that Zongshen is offering. The power is near identical but the Zongshen is said to be quieter and smoother running then the CG150 Honda. Then you could consider that the Honda is being manufactured in both markets as well Brazil and Thailand.

That is what Zongshen is after the Honda 150cc market. It’s a big market and Zongshen is going after it in the same countries were the CG150 is being manufactured by Honda.

You can see it in the HONDA MOTOS Brasil products and how Hyosung models fit into that.

This looks like joy and very good quality. Give it 600cc or 750cc
