I have a service manual in PDF form. This manual is excellent as it shows the breakdown of the engine and gear box on our bikes. All the specs and torque #'s are there, making tweeking and fixing the bike easy.

I would like to post this manual do that all the members can see it. Does anyone know of a free page I can upload it to. I think we all could find this manual helpful, and I would like to add my bit for all.

I also have the Chinese manual also in PDF form that I to would like to upload. Though the english is poor at best, it does give the bore-stroke specs for the 200.

If one manual doesn't have the info the other does..

    Thanks..

    Kurt

Carl...is this something you can make work??

A seperate section in maintenace solely for Zongshen 200-250 engines that has a pdf manual with specs would be a god sent for most of us.The number one issue for us is been uncertain of specs when we woork on the engines in our machines.Myself personaly I can't bear to assemble things without specs being a AST tech ( mind you I've seem others that do and it can be ammusing).
This weekend I was working on the bike when I decided to check my valve lash..the owners manual stated .005,.006 and .008 all in the same book.Good thing I check the vales as it was nearly 0 lash

A section like this would make this web site #1 in the Chinese motorcycle forum world.

    Kens,

Well it's certainly a tempting idea. If you really think there's enough interest in getting it going I'm willing to give it a shot. I've got a lot of other motorcycle related stuff going on right now but if you're willing to help out with it, I can have the section created in less than a minute. I'll make you moderator of the section as well.

Problem is getting a ZongShen full service manual online. For some reason I thought Forchetto had one but maybe that was just the owners manual.

    Carl

I'm willing to take it on if you make a section. The CG and CB 250 cc Zongs are everywear over here.
I'll mod it also so you don't need to.

Both those links are great links for the CB overhead cam engine.

Forchetto...Do you have anything fo rthe CG over head valve engine?

    Thanks

    Okee dokee Kens,

Here's the new Zongshen 123, 200, 250 Repair forum link:

    http://www.mychinamoto.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=51

If you go back out to the main forum list you'll see it listed as a sub-forum to the Maintenance section. I may do one for the QingQi/Qlink variants as well.

You have also been made moderator of the new sub forum so should see some extra options in your menus and such (i.e. - moving, deleting, editing posts and threads). Smell around and let me know if you have any questions.

As far as moderation goes, there's not really much to it at all. The main task will be getting people to use it to it's maximum potential. If you have any suggestions on getting it more traffic, drop a dime.

    Kens,

Just thinking... We could take specific pages from the PDFs and post them as attachments so members wouldn't have to download the whole document unless they needed or wanted to.

For example, we can attach the page which only states the valve clearance specs so people wouldn't have to download and peruse the whole document to find it. They'd just click on it and it would appear as an image in their browser (which I think would suffice for most purposes).

Basically, we just make commonly asked for specs in the manual quickly available. What you think?

That's exactly what the plan is.To creat a one stop all you need to know info on the CG ( and CB) engines.

    Thanks Carl

    K,

I can put up a couple pages but it would help if you told me which ones and from which manual (since there are 2).

Also, the greatest draw to the ZS Repair forum would be illustrated "walk-throughs" done by folks who have the bikes. Even just some random pictures of the engines/bikes would be good.
