#1 Shanghai Plates : Possibility to swap to a new bike ?07-05-2011, 05:55 AM
Hey all,
A quick question for all the experts in this forum : I have the Shanghai hu A plates (the more-expensive-than-their-weight-in-gold-ones...) on my bike and all the bike + plates purchases were done 100% legally, I have all the necessary papers in my own name.
If I'm buying a new bike (and selling the current one), will I be able to transfer the plates of my 1st bike to the 2nd one ? I'm sure it would involve a lot of paperwork and time lost in different offices, but does anyone have the experience of it ?
Where should I look, would the dealer of the 2nd bike be able to do the procedures himself even if the first bike was from another dealer, etc. ?
Cheers,
Fred
