As far as the domestically manufactured motorcycles in India go, the market price, for the most part do not exceed 76,000 Rupee which would be 10,988 Yuan….that would not include the Royal Enfield, but the Hero Honda and Bajaj lines.

The closest to the YBR250 would be the Bajaj Pulsar 220.

The prices vary by region in India and with different tax rates, the most expensive regions may reach $2,000.00 USD but not more then that.

There are also Yamaha Models but none of those are above 150cc and they are priced under the 223 Honda and 220 Bajaj.

I was going to get into Yamaha water crafts and costs and pricing and also were the Volvo Penta engines are manufactured. Things to keep an eye on are 100% Chinese manufactured and expensive, because if people are working for very low wages then the market should be getting goods that are priced affordable, otherwise somebody is getting rich and on the backs of others.

I want one. My wife won't be happy with that, not after I spent 24k on the YBR.
I can barely understand anything I read in that thread; what were they talking about besides it's performance? Will it be sold in China?

Hi Soberpete, the gw250 will sell in China, maybe soon.

The first time a moving gw250 on video, and the exhaust sound like this. I wish it could be more distinctive and louder.

    Here's what's gonna happen now...

...ZMC 888 is going to get one of these after they're released; I'll lend him the money if it means speeding up the process.
He's going to run it in and possibly do us the honour of a thread report.
I'm going to lend him the YBR for a few days in exchange for the GW250 and if I really like it then I'm going to work extra hard to save up for one... as well as a house and everything for the wife and baby (about 5 months to go before I'm a dad!).

Hehe, I also want nice things for me too. Since I heard this bike will be around October (not confirm yet) this year, I have switched my attention to her. I would prefer a full fairing sports bike though, but this is one of nicest 250s we can get in China. The downside of engine is SOHC - 2 valves per cylinder, not DOHC as specify previously.

Those guys who first ride the bike come from Jiangmen, GD, somehow organised to visit the HJ factory. It's a really good indication that HJ is serious.

SOHC. So it'll run hotter, louder and not as smoothly as it would with DOHC right?
I'm not too clued up on this. Would it have more of a KW output with a DOHC engine?
Also, td ref, I'm not sure whether you know the answer to this or not: What might the price of the GW250 be around?

I would think it be more expensive then the YBR…

Close to 26hp? Is it a six speed or five?

My concern is pure horsepower and better valve tech. DOHC should have higher output at high rpm. the bike has yet priced. Between 16-25k is speculated by the CHN forum members.

MJH, one of test rider said it is 6 speed.

It looks like it would be very comfortable ride, 26hp and a six speed, it looks like a very good commuter and it also has very good lines, its definitely not an ugly bike at all.
