You thing the "Baboon" is a small bike, ever ridden a Honda Z50JZ Monkey bike with 28.7 RWHP on 8" or 10" wheels, frightening... ask me how I know.....

Yes, you can register the Honda Z50 "Monkey" and Honda 100 "Baboon" in Shanghai (A+C plate - rego). T
The old bike market out at Jiaoji Road had a few shops selling them and a motorbike dealer out at the end of Wuzhong Road (near Qixin Road) had them in stock some weeks ago.

Sorry, I was referring to the bike in the original post.. the CFMOTO 125. Can it get C plates or Blue plates?

Also, I was at the jiaoji rd market last weekend and it has been closed down! they've moved to a new location about 30rmb taxi ride away but it's not the same... no where near as many shops in the new place. There are still a few shops open on that street though.

Sorry, hope this is more clear: Yes, you can register the Honda Z50 "Monkey" and Honda 100 "Ape" MIC CLONE / COPY BIKES in Shanghai (A+C plate - rego = moped blue plate / bike yellow plate). Just check the two shops at the end of Wuzhong Road (near Qixin Road).

Thanks TB, I will see if I can pop by Wuzhong Rd some time soon.

The address for the new relocated market is below. But there are not nearly as many dealers as the old market at the new address.

Just looked up wuzhong rd X qixin rd on the map and wow... that's far! I live in Jingan, any idea if there's anywhere closer?

Many of those bikes in Nanjing now. Can be legally registered with 苏A plates. Affordable price. Talked to one owner of that "Baboon" the other day - he said the bike was reliable. He purchased it around Christmastime last year and had no problems since - only regular oil changes.

So far I have not noticed them, but it seems that CF Moto not only showed his motorcycle, "inspired by Ape."

Kinda hard to say who copied who. Doubt that those were original design ideas for original models from original companies emerging in the market at approximately the same time.
Anyways, thought I might as well post that taobao "Baboon" bags link in case one of our fellow riders got that bike here in China and was desperate for the bags that fit.
