Just thought I'd post a few pictures of the new Jonway GTS500, though I have no idea when it will be ready for production even though it's been advertised on Jonway's website since 2009..

The pictures were sent to me by someone who works for Jonway. I think it looks mighty impressive and is based on a sleeved down Honda 600 Silverwing motor. Originally it was even styled like the Silverwing, but the styling has obviously evolved
    since then.

    What do you think?

It looks a bit like the Chrysler 300 from the back.

I like most of it, but I'd wish they'd make the trunk even larger with an integrated passenger back-rest, and maybe some more rear lights (one can never have enough tail lights for those visually-impaired drivers).

These maxi-scoots are super practical, if they have enough storage to carry all the junk we haul around (or groceries, etc). And most passengers really appreciate a solid back rest.

Oh, and those wheels look like they'd be a real PITA to clean.

Are the mechanical bits and pieces easy to access? With minimal disassembly of the plastic panels?

Somehow, because of the length of time this has been on Jonway's website I doubt if it will ever go into serious production.

Which markets are they then because it certianly hasn't been introduced in the USA or Europe? The chap in the factory stated to me that the GTS 500 is proving technically difficult for them.
They advertised this as a new model for 2009, yet in 2011 we are still waiting.
That doesn't inpsire confidence and this machine may be a step too far for them. Perhaps they should stick to making simple single cylinder machines aka old Honda engines.
As much as I love the look of new GTS 500...... I'm not going to be a road tester for Jonway.

I noticed this scooter is now listed on the Roketa website also, of course this does not mean it is available
It would be great if it was, there is definately a market the bigger scooters.
