I can't seem to find a full list.

    I know about:
    SZ
    GZ
    DG
    ZH
    NB
    HZ

BJ/SH have downtown restrictions but not sure what that entails.
QD seems to have restrictions, too (I lived there last year and only saw one full-sized bike; the taxi driver said it was illegal).

I 'heard' CD bans bikes, too, but that seems to be false (hope so: I'm planning to move there).

I wonder how you know you can not ride into a prohibited location until it's already too late. I currently live in SZ and they have even prohibited electric bikes here during the university games (though the law is widely ignored, it seems).

I have thought I would put it to the community here... I can't seem to find a previous post about the topic, apologies if it's an old topic; still a noob.

    Dear LDRider,

Great idea and welcome to the forum, if indeed you are a newcomer.

Could a prevail upon you to kindly edit your list to supply full names for the cities where bikes are banned. Please also list by province. You are based in SZ, which I assume to be Shenzhen, and given your domicile in Guangdong I can guess with confidence most of those on your list. ZH I'm guessing is Zhuhai, but this the first I've heard of a ban there. So how about this format:

    Shenzhen, Guangdong
    Guangzhou, Guangdong
    Dongguan, Guangdong
    Zhuhai, Guangdong (??)
    Ningbo, Zhejiang (??)
Hangzhou, Zhejiang (??) (I can think of a dozen cities with initials HZ!!)

    thanks again!

    cheers

Slabo, nice work. My memory is really not what it once was. That banned cities thread was only a few months ago, and I posted in it, but then forgot about it entirely!

    cheers
