Across the lake? Made it to the lake yes, will leave crossing the lake for black bikes.

I did make the rear shock go all the way on some of those crappy roads when driving to fast. In general I don't mind having a pillion, but if you have to do a lot of unpaved roads you will be exhausted. I might have brought to much luggage, but mainly due to my pillion. Since all the camping gear never got used! Probably easier to leave the pillion at home next time.

Day 5 - Xin ba er hu zuoqi -> Manzhouli - 263 KM

We could see we were heading for the rain, so time to stop and put on rain pants!

    ATM for children in Manzhouli?!

We arrived at this square with all these Matroesjka's just before some rain.

Nice to make pictures there after the rain at sunset.

These are really great pics Barry - thanks! Very interesting location.

I am so envious that you made it up there, as it has been on my to-do list for soooooo long. Well, 2012, if the world doesn't end.

Oh ... right ... those neurons just ain't what they used to be. My excuse is that I am lacking a healthy diet of Canadian bacon, maple syrup & poutine!

Guess what?!?!?!? I found one of your old home videos ... remember your pre-JH600 scooter? Well, it looks like you painted it black (I kinda suspected you had black-bike-envy) and shipped it home with your "other" pillion.

    Meanwhile in the Netherlands

    Catchy tune, by the way.
