    Whoa - I think the BMW paint-booth-people were having a 1960's flashback ...

this is something BMW do with all there prototypes be it there cars or motorbikes its just something they do on anything that can be spotted in public
bmw_3-series_hybrid_prototype_spied_wearing_next-gen_sheetmetal.jpgits a form of film they use to try and disguise the shape but on the later prototypes its just to hide how the lights will look

read the original BMW e-scooter article online ?last month seems an interesting option, though likely a pricey one. Personally while I have owned several e-scooters in China over the years and liked having them etc. the range was my biggest complaint and sometimes knowing full well the range limitations - I'd push the envelope just that little extra and end up having to push the last 5 km or so home, or otherwise nurse the scoot to extract the last drop of energy from the lead-acid batteries or just call my local motorcycle dealer for a van ride back home... I think all this electric propulsion system development while worthy of applause to when the worlds population from oil dependency, there are better alternatives (hydrogen), since producing electricity is still a heavy polluter and very much dominated by the use of coal. The alternative fuels debate is akin to BETA versus VHS.
That aside I'm looking forward to the BMW concept-C maxi scooter and a couple of other maxi scooters hitting the market soon.

Wow! What a bike this is ! The design is unique. The paint is really innovative. I want to read the original content about this scooter.
