Its pretty simple, to just take the technology you currently have and apply it….

I struggled with it for some time, why a company like Wonjan did not capitalize on the existing GN250 engine, then I figured it out, they can certainly make it but it would be relatively speaking an expensive model. Comparing it to their distributions channels who they sell to and were, it would be considered high end and high priced.

However in the markets they do not have access to it would be a very affordable product, that being North America and Europe . However they do not have any real access to distribution and market exposure in those markets.

That bike could be sitting on a dealer floors for under $3,000.00 easy but not unless it is part of a distribution mix that already exists in the market. For example if Suzuki agreed to support a small offering of Wonjan models in these markets then they would literally fly off the floors, if priced low and supported with a comprehensive warranty through established Suzuki dealers.

Wonjan does not get access to what really maters and that’s is the Suzuki dealer networks, in that they do not get the inventory management and product support needed to get the bikes exposed, they never get to the big dealer showrooms.

In nut shell they get technology and production sharing, but not distribution sharing. It is not that Suzuki may not allow that, it may be that they would charge a fee for that and that fee might price the bike out of the market range they need to be in?

This version would have to be priced very low to get attention, it would and should be reliable it is pretty basic technology behind it and likely could cross reference on many existing Suzuki parts.

So what Suzuki will not offer as models in certain markets may be due to it not being low priced enough to rotate quickly through inventory. Not profitable perhaps because it is manufactured in Japan and cannot be priced low enough to attain high sales numbers.

So they could manufacture a line based on the 250...but they would need access to the distribution that Suzuki already established.

This is the version sold in Japan, it has the 249cc type engine that is employed in Qingqi 250 models, it also is the same engine offered on the TU250 sold in the USA. It is the 10th anniversary of the Bigboy in Japan.

This is the original and it employees the GN250 engine that Wonjan is licensed to manufacture. It is the same engine employed on the Suzuki GZ250 sold in the USA and also the GN250 manufactured in china.

That would be nothing more then to be able to see them on a Suzuki dealers floor, or if not stocked be able to order one through them.

Wonjan does a make sport bike, it’s just that they only sell them through distributors in the Philippians, Indonesia and Thailand though.

That is just the typical style bike the Chinese seem to like to make so much…

They seem to be offering that bike for OEM production, the engine has a version that already meets US EPA. The naked version they present does not exist and that is primarily because of how they operate, they will not make it unless they have a buyer that is interested. The altered design is not dramatic and certainly not costly.

The Bigboy version would be only be a little more challenging, however it could be derived from the exiting GN250 that Wonjan offers.

There are two versions of the Grasstracker and they are only sold in Japan, to the best of my knowledge.
    The Grasstracker BIGBOY and [Grasstracker].

The differences are in the size. The BigBoy is bigger, it has a 790mm seat height 40mm taller then the Grasstracker version.

Its called a big boy because it is for taller people, it has a 31” seat height compared to [29”]
It also has a longer wheel base 1405mm compared to [1325mm] and a higher ground clearance as well 1.6” higher.

Bigger Wheels with 19’’ front 18” rear compared to [18x17]

Wonjan could make that bike, they could also add to it with a full set of meters that are standard on the GN250.

Wonjan offered or still offers a vareity of manufacturing lines….too many and likely they lost many of these? They must be anxious to bring lines back? The sales of the GN250 must be down?

Yeah like is the web administration on opium? They seem to have ventured into fantasy on the product list. That to me means that they are struggling. The Chinese Language site has fantasy models?
