#1 Qingqi tech questions submisssion....07-20-2008, 08:33 AM
We have more than a couple questions now about technical details of QingQi's 200cc motard. I'd like to ask the factory to provide some of this information but it's better and easier to do it all at once rather than one-at-a-time.
I want to stress that nothing is guaranteed but we will give it our best shot.
Please post any TECHNICAL ONLY questions that you'd like to ask QINGQI here and we'll see if we can get some answers.
So far we have:
- Correct valve spacing
- Amount of fork oil in the USD forks....
Anything else?

07-20-2008, 09:12 AMThanks for you efforts Carl. There's a few more I'd like to ask:
- How can we get hold of a workshop manual.
- Can we buy the rear luggage carrier as fitted to the dual-sport version?. It should fit the Super motard and I'm sure they would sell like hot cakes to virtually every buyer of one of these bikes. Its part number is given as:
Carrier comp. rear 46310QMNZ000
Bolts, M8x16 02304O080162
- The rear shock absorber has a Schrader-type valve on it. This is for filling with air to adjust the pre-load. It comes empty from the factory. What pressures are recommended?.
- The owners manual has no requirement to check/adjust the valve clearances. What intervals and clearances do they recommend?.
Here's a image of the carrier taken from a parts book:

Forch,
Good questions...I'll take note.
Regarding the luggage carrier (rack) those should be spec'd and equipped by the importer. I'm sure it fits but, as usual, shipping and distribution is the problem.
Valve clearances are not specified in my documentation but it says they should be checked at 1,000, 4,000 and 8,000kms.
I will put up the full GY series manual I have received from the factory in the QingQi section as soon as I can put it into a protected PDF.
