Saw this a couple of days ago. Pretty scarey stuff watching his unconscious body being dragged out from under the car. The guy is apparently recovering nicely, and determined to buy another bike as soon as he can (along with the most expensive helmet he can find). Can't help but wonder what would have happened if this were in China.

In the interview the young man thanked everyone that helped save him, believing that the car could have exploded at any time….which would it never would have, it has safety feature to prevent that, its the bike that caught fire, the tank ruptured and ignited. Something to think about fuel tanks over a hot engine? The cars fuel tank is in the rear pretty far from the flames and with some technology to prevent it from igniting.

The bike must have slid away from the car and then the car rode up onto the downed bike and that’s how he ended up under the car, he is so lucky he did not get crushed.

It happened in Utah…some nice people in that state, smart quick thinkers.

The USA has various degrees of good smarten laws, they tend to go more toward no liability for helping to an actual legal obligation to help.

    You mean like this....

OK, it's hard whether there is anyone in danger in either video. But no one seems too interested in trying to find out, either. In the US video, numerous people approach the inferno (surely not knowing nor caring whether the car has "some technology to prevent it from igniting"), with the clear intent to determine whether there is anyone in the car or under it. Then they come together totally spontaneously, a bunch of strangers, and it looks as if they'd rehearsed for this for years. Truly amazing.

(Sorry, once again cannot for the life of me manage to get these into proper video frames...)

Any thoughts on how to repost the youtube video into Youku? I searched but did not find it here inside the GFW.

    cheers

Youtube is universally blocked inside China, by decree of grandma.

But here is a link to the clip in Sina's video channel.

(Once again, I don't know how to make this show in a neat video frame.)

The clip was on CBS news, that must be their foreign office in china?

I do not think you can embed that format, the v bulletin software would have to have it configured with BB code in this case it would need to be configured to accept a macromedia flash file. That’s an API configuration that is done on the admin side…you can try until your blue in the face you will never get it to work, unless v-bulletin is configured to accept it.
