#1 Scooter carrying bicycle.

I have been riding motorcyces since 2001.
I bought a Chinese made, JMStar 250cc scooter after research and test rides of major brand scooters and a couple of other Chinese scooters.
Since March 26, 2008.. I've put over 3000 miles on the scooter, no issues whatsoever, I'm getting over 90 mpg and having a great tie with it.
i even put bicycle on scooter, so I could reduce the cost of traveling to group bicycle rides around town:
I'm loving my Chinese scooter.

That looks cool, however, do you notice all that weight so far back?, or any instability due to the higher centre of gravity?.

That's a nice looking scooter. Nice wheels...classier than I thought a Chinese manufacturer would equip on their machines. How much was it and where did you get it?
Since it's a race bicycle, it might not be too heavy. I doubt it even weighs 30lbs. Could probably lower the center of gravity if the front and rear wheels could be mounted on the side of the scoot. Hmmm....

Excellent idea CC, I revised the carrier a little, move the mass of the bicycle further forward, reduced the size of the platform..
My bicycle weighs less than 16 lb., the whole weight of the bicycle, Pelican case and the platform is approx. 24 lb.
I took the scooter up to speed of 50 mph, hitting bumps on the road make disconcerning noise.. need to figure out a better way to secure the bicycle chain.

That's great work! When I used to race amateur mountain bikes in the days of yore, there was a simple product called "Lizard Skins" which were just basically neoprene wraps you'd stick around the chain stay to protect it from the heinous amount of chain slap you'd experience on downhills. Not sure if they could be used to tie the chain together. Then again, there are removable zip ties.
Any way... again, great work! Did it improve the handling of the assembled ride any?
Also, where did you get the scooter and how much did it cost?
