Vancouver Island. Lovely place, except for the required BC Ferries to/from civilization.

    Welcome candle (I'm ex-Oak Bay ... now in Beijing ... yeah, there's a difference)

    Yep Vancouver Island
    Sorry guys
And yes i do have to commute to civilization
i haven't bought a bike yet, i realy need some advise info is hard to come by
There is a guy in Langley with a gret deal on the 400cc enduro/euro
I'll Repost it here and we'll go from there:
    Hi Guys n Gals
I've just signed up, and have some questions regarding the 2010 Xingyue 400 Euro.
The bikes are a good price here in Canada, however before i part with my cash i would like to know if anyone has ridden or owns one of these or its enduro cousin.
will it cope with logging roads, can i buy accessories for it. are parts easy to find. is it easy to service
It will be my first bike i will be commuting on it and doing some nubbie type maneuvers in the dirt so can the tires be changed ... the mud guard looks close to the tire
i'm 5'7 so i worry that the enduro is to tall
    All advice or thoughts welcomed
    Cheers

nice bike, not to sure about the head lights though,, def not my style.

any way, these logging roads, are they made of mud? i used to live in london in uk and we have no trees there so no logging)
this bike looks like its made to be a road bike, i wouldnt trust it to much in the rain on a mud track, for that sort of punishment i would have to suggest a proper off road bike (i dont like the look of them though but would have to make do)
it looks like if you put off road tires on it then any stones in the mud you pick up will trash the mud guard / tire / cause a skid.
    I could be wrong though.

I'm from London Originally ... then Brighton
Heres the other option http://www.valleymotorsports.ca the enduro
This bike i was worried maybe a little tall and has a smaller gas tank 9l as compared to 22l
I think your right about the tires, the roads are mud/gravel and vary in condition
This bike is going for 2500 bucks
So from a starting point a deal
i wanted a 650 klr but Canada is a rip off for most things and second hand anything is no exception

What are you riding at the moment ?
do you have any other recommendation

well, at the moment as i live in china with my chinese wife and our daugter i am riding a chinese bike

which i have just tried to upload twice and failed :-(
its a typical chinese made motorbike for the farming community, cheap and easy to repair.

you couldnt go far wrong with a Yamaha wr400f
