They stamp the blocks on all the engines, LIFANS have an (LF) prefix so they would be stamped with either LF167MM or LF167MM-M

I’ve ask for the engine codes on bikes people purchase and post about on this website and rarely if ever has anyone actually posted an image with the engine code.

It is safe to say that the frame is nearly identical to the original Honda, circa 1960. So that part of the design was likely a creation of a Japanese engineer at Honda, that has likely long since retired.

The Chinese make that frame in the million annually, the engines are all derived from the original push rod 125cc the mounting points to the frame are also likely identical across all the various versions of the engine. The Chinese added electronic ignitions and bigger cylinder heads.

There is nothing wrong with any of this, it is what it is, many people asked for a cool modern version of that bike and this version is about the best one so far.

But something about the claims of global engineering teams and such is actually not justified in the current offerings…the models are configurations of existing designs.

The originals were intended for transportation and still are, the CG125 are cheap in cost and sold all over the world, but mostly as a 125cc, these CG250 are just beefed up versions at least the engines are they offer a better top speed just enough for getting around town, just like the original but just with a bigger engine.

yes we are organizing and trying to help our fellow riders, and the Honda Rebel is a 233cc have you called Honda up and reminded them to change their stats

CCW doesnt hide the fact that is a 229cc engine but it is in the 250cc class like the DF250RTB. Its all about having fun and spreading the growing wealth of knowlege

have a great new years man, and Vince looking forward to reading about you adventures in 2012

    Gardo,
I asked CCW to change their specifications on their website for the Heist to 227cc and they banned me from their forum.
It's one thing to call a bike a DF250RTB or a Rebel 250 but the specifications should indicate the true displacement.
You need to change your web site so it reads 227cc instead of 250cc.

Heist Displacement 250cc from specs at http://www.pitmotorsltd.com/pitl1_013.htm
Same 250cc specs for the Misfit at same web site

Specifications for the Rebel 250 from Honda web site
