Can I ask what camera is being used, and maybe on which settings? Very clear at low bike speed, but loses some depth perception at a higher speed.

I've been using the Contour+, which has now been replaced by the Contour+2. The 170º wide angle gives a lot of view, but it does seem to flatten things out. I have it set on the "Action HD" setting which is 720p HD (1,280x720 pixels) at 60 FPS. The data rate is 12.65 Mbit/s so these look stunning on a regular flat screen TV.



If you have a vee pee en, try watching this one in HD. YouTube has a feature to remove shake and it seems to help a bit.

Thanks ChinaV! I will try to replicate the settings on a GoPro HD. My video attempts have been poor. I always drool over your pics & videos ... and have still not learned that buying the same gear does not mean I will get the same results.

Haha great pics and vids chinaV. Heres to another season of riding offroad with no crazy car drivers trying to kill you and plenty of fresh air. I think i'm well over 1000klms already now that I'm storing my bike in Zengcheng.
I borrowed Joe's Go Pro a few weeks back and got some great footage of Tom and myself tearing around the trails and a bit of motarding around the lake, I'll have to take it again so we can get you on film for your fans to see you in action
Can you email me a copy of the pic with me in the air at the sand quarry, I think i only got the one with the bike suspension bottomed out. I think it should be my new screen saver
I second a youku tutorial, I think Tom uses it for his ride reports.
I'll add some pics if i find anything worthy in my collection.

ChinaV, can you give me send me some more detailed info of where you guys went in/near Zengcheng? Since I stay near there part of the week, I'm looking to find some of these places. I don't care so much for touring around China. I just want to buy a cheap bike on Taobao and hit some of these areas... Very envious of you!
